Dear Georgina
My friends and colleagues that are working on the MKII both 1D and 1Ds have commented that even though the DPP Canon Software is sluggish ( please note that this version is not available for download, so only camera owners do have it and the camera's serial number is requested for updates in the Canon site), however, the comments on the fantastic results obtained form such software are worth while the wait. Unless you are shooting hundreds and hundreds of images, perhaps you may give a it a formal shot to DPP, prhaps using a cataloguing app like iView etc, to edit your selects.
Best

We can open the files and convert them to Tiffs from the Canon software but
this seems extremely limited in its application and slow. It seems a pity
to have to bypass the advantages of using Adobe Camera Raw particularly as
the few files that we have converted to Tiffs look exceptionally good.
Is anyone able to offer a solution please?
