It must be free, because the license on the original English is "ShareAlike" -- so they have no choice about making it free :-). So yes, feel free to coordinate with them however you think best. You don't necessarily need to fork it. It might be best to work on their site, and then when it's done take the whole thing and convert it over. Or it might be better to convert their stuff to XML now and persuade them to work in our repository. One thing that bothers me is that their wiki has lost all the formatting information. So for example, in http://www.framalang.org/wiki/POSS_Chap_6_Part_4 ...the IRC example (starts with "You are now talking on #linuxhelp") is in the same font and style as the rest of the chapter, it doesn't stand out as a block. And all the URLs have been automatically highlighted into links, which is distracting in the example. So it might be best for you to convince them to take what they've done and incorporate it into the repository version, if they'll be comfortable working in XML files. I'm certainly happy to give them all commit access. > We didn't yet contact them, we prefer to get your opinion on this. What > do you think we shall do ? Go ahead and contact them, see what they think about joining forces. (It's odd that they never contacted us first, especially since we made it very clear that we had translations under way... Strange.) Thanks for spotting this! -Karl _______________________________________________ Producingoss-translators mailing list [email protected] http://www.red-bean.com/mailman/listinfo/producingoss-translators
