I'm currently experiencing strange problems with the way portal_setup (and
QuickInstaller) handle DIYPloneStyle GS profiles.
On a fresh Zope 2.10.3 with a fresh Plone 3.0 bundle checkout (r14968).
Same behavior experienced with Plone 3.0 beta 3
---
How to reproduce:
Checkout DIYPloneStyle trunk, restart server
Create new Plone instance
Go to portal_setup, select DIYPloneStyle profile and import all steps, or go
to the QuickInstaller and install DIYPloneStyle.
Go to front-page: get an error (see traceback below)
Go to portal_skins > Properties, click on save at the *bottom* of the page
(not the save button for skin layers)
Go to front-page, get the correct page rendering.
---
I feel a bit lost here because DIYPloneStyle used to work with Plone 3.0. At
the alpha time at least. I didn't touch it since then.
Strange fact: NuPlone, which was generated with DIYPloneStyle, doesn't
seem to
suffer from same problem.
I compared the two products without being able to see what significant diff
there would be.
Big difference is that DIYPS handles two profiles but that should be no
problem for portal_setup.
If anyone has time to help me track the bug, I'd appreciate it very much,
David
