Perhaps having a look at what Tarek did with FSS will give you some

Thanks!
(Disgressing ;) (IMHO) playing with blobs is a matter for storages,
and not for fields, following the general AT architecture. But maybe
I'm missing something.
Can it be done either way? I don't have a preference. I'm currently
following the ATFile example in plone.app.blob (which I see from
http://dev.plone.org/plone/ticket/6805 was based on ATBlobField
from Enfold (http://dev.plone.org/collective/changeset/45970)...
"IMHO" means that's just an humble opinion ;o)
Enfold people are in the hall of fame of the Plone developers galaxy,
thus have good reasons (I missed) to plug the blob stuff at field
level rather than at storage level.
Anyway, we're anticipating the job planned for Paris sprint...

Cheers.
