At the sprint this weekend, Martin clued ErikRose and I into a method for hooking into the component registry to apply selected interfaces to content, and thus allow the application of interfaces on a per-object basis. I know that's not exactly what you're asking here, but I wonder if it might provide enough of a hook to be able to hang associated actions like running some python methods at the time when the Interface is put on a content object?
