How are you starting your zope instance? Getting started in fg mode so that
you can see what is happening will really help you to figure out the source
of your problem. You can also look at the log for your zope instance to see
what is going on, but starting in fg mode will allow you to see it in real
time as the error occurs.
The error message you posted above is a browser-generated message that could
mean anything from 'your ethernet connection is bad' to 'the entire world
outside your door has just melted'. It doesn't tell you anything useful.
You need to get feedback from zope/plone on what is happening, and starting
in the foreground is the best way to do that.
