Does Zope or Plone have a method for getting the value(s) from a querystring
that is more typesafe than the self.request.form dict?

http://imitationfunsite.com/?gum=shoe&gum=chew would have a tuple for
self.request.form['gum']

but

http://imitationfunsite.com/?gum=goo would have a string, so it's not safe to
iterate without checking.

I know how to do this with isinstance, but I'm under the impression that
Pythonistas tend to dislike isinstance on principle, so does Zope or Plone
offer another way?

Many thanks,
