It's always a bad idea to delete a user: * content has to be reassigned (new owner, reindex, blablabla...) * A new person can register with the old userid and if you don't have done previous stuff ... * If you delete contents you can easily have inconsistency (forum post, shared content, ....) * How do you handle comments ?
A good idea: Let the user exists in the database, edit user properties to [email protected], firstname="nomoreregistred", ... and add a redirect in his home folder Change the display of author viewlet to handle that case by displaying sth like "this user is not more registred" I have done this for a community website (An old site), it works great ! ----- Jean-Michel François aka toutpt http://toutpt.wordpress.com http://twitter.com/toutpt -- View this message in context: http://plone.293351.n2.nabble.com/user-deleted-event-tp5716190p5720000.html Sent from the Product Developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Product-Developers mailing list [email protected] http://lists.plone.org/mailman/listinfo/product-developers
