Gore lost his mind after 2000, and since then is on a pathological
crusade to get the ego wish-fulfillment denied him by the close and
contentious election. But for a few hundred hanging and
just-begging-to-be-freed punchcard chads that was as close to becoming
president as he'll ever get, thank God (I hope).

His embrace of radical environmentalism is transparently self-serving.
If he had shown class and grace after losing the election, I might
take him more seriously, but other than the initial concession, he's
melted down pretty grotesquely on more than one occasion and I frankly
think he's mentally unstable. When I see him I think Aaron Burr. His
sudden composure and strange, deep stare tell me he thinks he's found
his groove. But just watch how fast he loses it again at the slightest
provocation. He's not all there anymore.

But I don't mind him giving Hillary! a run for her monopoly money and
splitting the Democrats in 2008. ;-)

(Oh, how I wish the Democrats would come up with somebody who isn't
certifiably insane or a trial lawyer to represent them for a change!
I'm actually getting tired of defending mediocre "compassionate" (i.e.
spendthrift) Republicans... When is either party going to get its act
together?)
