They have to be placed in a location where they can get lots of cooling.
They don't work well in an area where there is not a sufficient temperature
differential or lots of ocean water. That's why people want to stick them in
places like the coastlines.
Actually I meant that the cost of running a nuke plant is greater than
the returns. i.e. the cost of Uranium, building & running (and
decommissioning!?). Of course they are subsidised.
I could be wrong but I'm sure I read that somewhere.
