I suspect that John Kerry would be great to have fighting beside me in a life and death combat situation. He would be a great president as well. <g>

You may be right about Charlie Gibson remaining as the ABC evening news anchor. I was busy this morning, and only half listening to "Good Morning America" when I heard something about Charlie leaving in 12 days, so it may be a reference to his leaving "Good Morning America", not ABC or the ABC evening news. Right now Charlie is pulling double duty appearing on both "Good Morning America" and the ABC evening news. It must make for a long day.

Put Kerry in there with you, he'll sure to get a couple more phony purple

In other words, if I were in a bunker (eg foxhole0, with Vietcong advancing towards my position, who would I want in the foxhole with me guarding my right flank. I would have my doubts about President Bush or Vice President Cherey, but Rumsfelt would probably be great.

There were some other things about Katie that troubled me. She was often absent from work when the country was under any kind of threat. She may be a bit of a coward or overly protective of herself, and is not exactly the type of Anchor that would put herself in harms way to report the live news to the American people in an emergency setting. I wonder.
Taking the cue from our elected leaders...

Mission accomplished!
