I don't think a majority of UN ambassador would support a UN law that
made small arm defensive weapons illegal. The right to self defense
should be a fundamental right. Even if such a law were passed, it would
be impossible to enforced. Can you imagine trying to disarm the
citizens of Iraq, Iran, Israel, etc.
China once passed a law that made it illegal for her citizen to have
weapons of any kind. Thus was born the martial arts of karate, judo,
kung fu, and other disciplines that trained the body to become a lethal
weapon using the hand, knees, feet, elbows, head, etc. People will find
a way to protect themselves.
