Which is nothing to do with the changes in gun laws.  As I said, in
the UK it's extremely rare (and always has been) to own a gun.

So if guns were legal no one would buy them? If so, make them legal for those with clean records and let the market decide if they will continue to face criminals unarmed.

But that is not the only hurtle. The other problem is that the UK seems to see the perps as victims and the law-abiding as victimizers.
