How is it possible that we can't get them out of power? The majority of people have no use for them, yet nothing changes. I'm reminded of the couple I met who had lived in Dresden before and during WWII, who also didn't like what their gov't was going, but had no choice but to go along with it. True, they didn't have a Declaration of Independence to point to: " ... That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, - That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government ..." But we do. Tomorrow, the 4th of July, is the day we've devoted to remembering this pillar of our society. As my little contribution, I'll check the major "news" players and name each one who mentions these words during the day. If I miss one, please point it out.
