Instead of macro-expanding just the variable, they eval() the
assignment of the variable to its literal string. Perhaps that
might be something that you could hack about.
Well, that is the one with which I have been playing. Can't seem to
get it to pull the value out without generating an error. I'll keep
hacking at it, though. Gotta get a bigger blade.
