Not sure if it is the same thing, but I was running it in Microsoft
Virtual PC 2004.

I downloaded the ISO and then created a new VM machine with 256MB
memory.  I then started the VM and captured the downloaded ISO to the CD
drive, rebooted and then the VM booted from the Live Ubuntu CD.

Are you running it in VMPlayer?  If so, would you mind posting step by
