Anyone know if there's a limit to how long the for ... clause can be in an index statement. According to "Compact index file structure" in help, 2 bytes are set aside in the tag header record to indicate the size of the "for pool." That'd make it possible hold 655536 bytes, but that seems unbelievably generous and unlikely. -Lew
