If it transfers files quickly by only sending diffs, you might look
into something like the UNIX commandline tool rsync. You could use
CygWin to install most UNIX tools on a Windows box, or a small subset
of them.
Yes that's exactly what it does. I was using this feature in PCAW
about 10(?) years ago. Pretty neat. Imagine you have a 20Mb DBF on a
clients site but an older copy stored locally. Takes seconds to apply
the diffs.
