Subject: Re: searching for a penny

I've spent WAY too much time chasing a penny here and there. I've
found that it is best to convert the currency field to a numeric
first. Actually, I've found that it is best to avoid the currency
data type like the plague.

==========================================

Where did the Currency data type come into play here? All Andrew said
was that he is using 4 decimal places of precision. There is nothing
wrong with the Currency data type. As a matter of fact, I use it for
all of my numerics (generally) because it is compact and runs faster
since no time is spent converting decimal values to binary.

The x-base numeric representation is very 1960's, IMHO. Of course that
makes it a prime candidate for Microsoft to bring it back into use under
XML. :)
