I normally go on a Friday. This year it's the first time it's being
held in Earls Court, previous years have always been at Olympia (which
it's now outgrown).
Unfortunately an idiot cousin of my GFs has decided to get married
this Friday (yes, on a Friday) so I can't make it this year.
With lots of the Beer here I doubt if you could drink all day as some of it
is fairly heavy tackle!
However if you feel that you can sink 15 pints and still stand then the £20
will still just about last out at my local club where beer is only £1.25 per
pint.
Beer is normally about £2 a pint at the festivals. But the key is to
hire a pint glass but drink halves. This means you get to try more
beers and the halves are normally quite generous, especially towards
the end of the night. The CAMRA staff are volunteers and so are also
sampling the beers!
No doubt Andy will add his few penneth in here as he is what is known as an
"Ale Fetishist!"
Unfortunately I have one too :-) Haven't got the beard yet though.
