If he was hated for telling the truth, wouldn't you think he would have
been defended?

He did make a pretty good movie, Conspiracy Theory, that was almost as
good as Enemy of the State, in terms of 'movies that make you think
about things'. Maybe he did get affected by such a mindset and took the
drinking-way-out, but the point I feel is that he isn't 100% wrong and
that discussion should bring out where he's right and wrong. Yes, he was
wrong with the drunk driving and being hostile to the police, but at the
same time he's not the raving madman he's being cast as. The truth is
somewhere in the middle, yet that discussion has been pre-empted.

No, I don't think he has any theory that hasn't already crossed our
desks, but I do think his comment should have evoked something more than
unilateral condemnation. And my mind discounts the 'global domination'
thing as complete nonsense, but I do think we need to carefully examine
the influence factor.
