Being an optimist means that you always expect things to work out well and that is generally how I feel. Unfortunately sh*t happens and things do not always work out the way you had hoped. Perhaps it is optimism that causes disappointment in such cases. There is no inherent contradiction in what I wrote. Someday you will realize that.
