The subsconscious admission of that cartoon, whether they want to
admit it or not, is that to Democrats, Republicans really are the
"enemy", not al Qaeda. Karl Rove is the evil mastermind, not Bin
Laden. Dick Cheney is the evil thug, not Zarqawi or Ahmadinejad. I've
been saying this since 2004, when the party was overrun by the whack
jobs.

Democrats are so hungry to get power back they'd sell the country down
the river just to get their paws back in control of those powerful
committees in Congress, not to mention the Oval Office. Meanwhile, the
Republicans seem exhausted and don't really have any new or novel
ideas they can point to in order to make a case for continued
political dominance. They sold their fiscal conservative soul for that
dominance and will pay the piper soon enough.

In general, I'm not optimistic about the prospects for our country
when/if the Democrats as they are currently composed take power. Would
that a few moderate voices had any pull in their party. What happened
to Lieberman, who just a few short years ago was that party's VP
candidate (now today Kerry calls him a "Dick Cheney"!) should scare
the bejeebers out of any so-called "moderate" out there... It's Stalin
Purge Time in the party poised to take over in the 2006 mid-terms.

The radicals running the show at the DNC and its verious nebulous
support groups (funding by Soros et al) are every bit as cabalistic as
the neo-cons in their come-uppance stage were. You ain't seen nothin'
yet, those of you who think the neo-cons are so bad.
