In the September 5, 2006 issue of PC Magazine on page 80 there is a mention of FoxPro.
This is highly unusual because for the last 18 months or so, PC Mag has listed FileMaker as the best DB software and has not even mentioned the Fox in passing or otherwise. It was as if someone "paid" them to ignore the product. So this article about the new CPU chips characterizes types of users. One is called The Engineer. His Profession is database guru and his favorite apps are (get this) FoxPro, DB2, SQL Server. Please note, they did *not* mention VISUAL FoxPro. Is DB2 still around? And truthfully, how many copies of SQL Server are shipping now that the open source products are maturing? Talk about being out-of-date. HALinNY P.S. PC Magazine recently changed its format from "stodgy" to "radical kewl." More emphasis on gaming and auto electronics, less on computers. IMHO there is one word to describe it and it's not fit to print in mixed company. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
