Why wouldn't Big Oil in America, take a hit for a couple of months, by artificially holding down the prices of gasoline at the pumps. In this way they could sponsor political candidates that would favor them with legislation that would more than reward them for any loss of revenue, and after the election it could be business as usual and they could more than recover their contribution to the GOP. After all, who determines what the prices are at the pumps around the country? The price of a gallon of gas here in Abilene is around 2.30 per gallon. The prices were so low that some station around here sold out. LOL
