I like the scene where Tenet gets exasperated with Albright on the
failed Tomahawk strike in Afghanistan -- I thought that was
particularly
revealing where upper middle management is dealt a bad hand from upper
management. However, in saying that I also understand why the State
Dept was worried by the missile fly-over in Pakistan to reach
Afghanistan.
I didn't watch it, so I can't comment on that particular scene, but
I do know that Albright and several other people who worked in State
at the time have denied that the scenes involving her never took
place, that these were some of the fictional parts added to the show
to change the impression of the events.
It certainly brings up the question: if you have a recent event in
which most of the key participants are still alive, why would you
need to make stuff up?
