If I have a top-level form (vs. a _Screen) based application, does this
mean that ON SHUTDOWN will not fire for me?

Are you saying that I need to CLEAR EVENTS *before* ON SHUTDOWN will
trigger?

Note: My top-level form's system menu's Close menu (I assume equivalent
to right clicking on titlebar or taskbar icon and clicking Close) fires
the QueryUnload event - but clicking End Task from the Windows Task
Manager does not trigger ON SHUTDOWN or the QueryUnload consultant ...
is the End Task button equivalent to what you describe as a "system
requested shutdown" or is a "system requested shutdown event" an
entirely different animal?
