"Two major things have happened. First of all Eli Research bought out
Pinnacle Publishing, owners of FoxTalk. They turned around and brought
in their own editor, and some how convinced Andy Kramek, Marcia Akins,
and Doug Hennig to stop writing for them (some 190+ articles between
the three of them). Then they started the "fake invoice" barrage of
snail mail and emails."

Well written piece - read it all. I, too, have been baraged by
"cancellation notices," "second notices." "last chance" and "special
offers" by the dozens since letting my FoxTalk subscription lapse
(after 17 years?) following Rainer's termination. The envelope never
says Eli, Pinnacle nor FoxTalk, but is a generic address in Phoenix,
Cleveland, Miami or somewhere.

I don't need to be tricked into subscribing. I need to be convinced.
And I'm seeing nothing to convince me. How sad.

I wrote articles for every editor, except Bob Grommes, from Glenn Hart
(rip) on and was working on a piece for Rainer when he was so rudely
dumped. I had tremendous respect for the quality of the journal, and
got my money's worth for the entire year's subscription from nearly
every single issue! However, it seems that Eli has missed the entire
point of FoxTalk and alienated its community of subscribers. It's an
ignominious end for a grand paper.
