Police action must be proportionate to the crime. What we are witnessing with the ME crusade is a wildly disproportionate response to a large crime. But we're used to disproportionate responses by now, given as how the wholesale slaughter of innocent human beings in places like Iraq and Lebanon hasn't ruffled even a feather. I mean, if we really were upset, our information supply would make sure the whole world knows about it, right? Guess I have to conclude that only us uneducated, ignorant peasants could be upset - and that must be because we don't understand real power. Right?
