I did not vote for Carter, but I did not "hate" him. A lot of the things that happen were not directly caused by Carter, IMO. Regardless, I think Bush 43 has him beat hands-down. Carter didn't attack the wrong country after ignoring warnings and not even hardening air travel thereby allowing a terrorist attack. Bush 43 will go down in history as the idiot that presided over the inception of the fall of the American empire. The question in my mind is whether that is actually a bad thing. I'm tired of our tax dollars and our children's blood supporting the largest and most expensive armed occupying force in the world -- larger than the Roman empire at its height. I doubt I'm alone in that feeling.
