But think of all the wisdom you gained by having to do that.
And with no documentation, I'll bet.

As the current marchers in the parade of software development and 
erudition, we owe our descendents the same level of obfuscation 
and confusion that we've had to suffer, lest we allow them to become
complacent and incapable of doing things for themselves.
