In the cursor that originates the group, create a new field to carry the
group number. Every record pertaining to a given group should have its own
number. Then, when you print the report, put a label with the color you
want. Send it to back. In the print when of that label put a condition to
print only when the group number divided by 2 = 0, that is, the modulus
equals zero.

Subject: Alternate group coloring
Hi Guys,
I have a report which can be a bit complicated to read due to group
totalling. So to try and make things easier I thought added a slight
shade of grey as a background shape to each alternative group. So the
first group of records would have a grey highlight and then the next
group would not and then the next would, and so on.
The problem is, I can't see how this is possible as this will not work
on the RECNO() because it is unknown how many records are in one group.
I hope that makes sense.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
