I point this comment out because it's echoing what a lot of my more
conservative friends have been saying more and more often lately: the
current Republicans are not reflecting conservative values at all,
but instead are simply acting in the name of greed and petty self-
interest. I was raised in a Goldwater Republican family, and I can
say with certainty that my parents would have been appalled at what
is being done in the name of 'conservative' values.
