Graham,
The best solution is to use the format:
Use (cDataPath)
Or if you must you can use Macro substitution:

Use "&cDatapath."

However the Macro substitution is slower and more prone to generate coding
errors by forgetting to terminate the variable (with a ".") which I ALWAYS
make a point of doing even though sometimes it is NOT compulsory or
necessary.

Subject: Long file support

Hi all

I have a problem with long file name support for application folders,
example

cDataPath="c:\my program files\my application\application data\table1"
use &cDataPath

cDataPath1="c:\opera ii\z_sname"
use &cDataPath1

This chokes. Does fox support paths with either long path names or spaces in
paths?

Thanks all
