Having seem Ken at devcon, I was not impressed. So that's a bad start for 
me. But on LinkedIn there is mention of Woodie who if far more credible. If 
its true he is using it that would be more of a sway.
I see your point on cost, but for VFP users who have no cost other than 
buying the program, I see it as a bad thing. Also possibly too late as many 
have gone to .net already, or to other languages. Those left probably do not 
need to worry about VFP future.

Servoy has been targeting VFP devs for some time now, and Ken's name adds a 
lot of credibility to their efforts. He probably also knows how to best 
tailor their marketing to appeal to the "what's next after VFP" audience.

That's probably a positive to a lot of people. If something is inexpensive 
or, god forbid, no cost, then it's probably not "enterprise-ready" in their 
minds.
