No windows 7 clients no. But I do elsewhere so the info is useful thanks
Not sure what the server is but I doubt its 2008. Might just be another XP.

Do you have Windows 7 clients (even just one Windows 7 is enough) and
the data on Server 2008 by any chance? If so then it might well be SMB2
causing index corruption. Easiest thing is to either update the Windows
7 clients, or the server, or both, to Service Pack 1. It's the same
installer for the server and clients.
