Top points for effort and courage. But its cheerleading. We all come to the point in life where we realise there are some things we simply cannot do. It does not devalue us. Rather it correctly EVALUATES us and in doing prepares us better for life. The school has done her a good service by not discriminating and doing what it does to every other student who tries out and doesn't succeed. It told her she wasn't good enough - because she wasn't. Being disabled sucks. But not every disability is visible. For many, their big disability in life is that they simply aren't good enough to do all the things they want to do. Neither is she. That's life.
