    I am not sure what the VFPX approach uses, but I use TrueType
    Barcode fonts (freeware) for Code 39 barcodes and it works great.
    You simply embed an asterisk * at
    the beginning and end of the characters you want in the barcode, and
    the scanners work with it really well. If you want, I can send you
    the TrueType barcode font...I got it years ago from somewhere on the
    Internet. The file is only 16kb.
