I've started a simple project for the same client I had designed that
CutList program for, except this time, I expected to use a MySQL backend
right away. Still, I've written the code in an n-tier fashion to
separate the UI/Biz/Data layers, and when I'm finished, I'll gladly post
it online for others to peruse at will.
Here's a screenshot of the main data entry screen:

I expect to finish it hopefully within a month. Comments are always
welcome, including code review and discussion on best (or not-so-best as
someone might think!) practices.
