I have a user reporting troubles with a common process.
A temporary CDX file is created and used. Once the Index is not in use, I
delete the CDX.
ERASE (THIS.cIndexFile)
I'm a bit perplexed how this error is being generated, the VFP 9 help file
states:
Remarks
This command does not generate an error if the specified file does not
exist.
The DELETE FILE command is the same as the ERASE command.
When I've remoted into the user, I have been able to duplicate the issue. It
is unique to her workstation.
Windows 7 latest patches
Kaspersky has .CDX, .DBF and .FPT files in the "ignore" list.
I just turned off Write Delay, perhaps that will help.
Does anyone else have a suggestion or thoughts?
No, I'm not checking if the file exist, since ERASE isn't supposed to error
if it doesn't.
Thanks,
Tracy
