Exactly!! I go with the $40 plan just because I'm so pleased with the
company's service.

The downside to sharing a single SMTP account across multiple customers
is that your account name and password can be discovered and reused by
unscrupolous customers. Two solutions: Have each customer pay for their
own SMTP account or encrypt your account name and password in a config
file and use the SSL version of SMTP to send your emails. The SSL
version of SMTP hides your account name and passwords from network
sniffers and, in general, is a better way to go.

A 3rd alternative would be to create a webservice on a cheap hosted
server and use this service to send your emails.
