pdffactory pro allows you to generate one large file and save it as one file and will continue to add pages until you close the program.
Take a look at it's capabilities, this may be all you need. http://fineprint.com/pdfp/ ________________________________ From: Joe Yoder <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, September 15, 2011 9:23 PM Subject: [NF] PDF management system Or the system could be done in FoxPro so maybe the NF is inappropriate. I am doing a set of drawings as a single PDF file from TurboCAD which needs to be wet nursed through outputting each of approximately 60 pages. Using CutePDF Writer or PDF995 for output, the system stops for a file name before each page. There is a way in FTP995 to have the system keep adding to the same filename but one needs to manually make a configuration change before and after the file has been built in addition to multiple clicks between each sheet as they are printed. I had my heart set on a single mouse click producing the entire file with no further action on my part but have given this up. At this point I am inclined to settle for creating each file separately so that a change to one sheet means generating only one PDF. The system I am hoping someone can recommend would allow the creation of a control file with the names of all the PDF files to be combined into a single file. Running the program would then create a PDF file and append copies of all the files in the list to a single output file. Another feature from my wish list would be the capability to shrink the pages from manufacture's spec sheets etc and fit them onto a sheet that is preformatted with the same borders and title block that is used on the sheets produced by TurboCAD. This would give a consistent appearance to the entire package and facilitate easy reference if the title blocks can include sheet numbers. I believe at least one of the set of specs that I need to include is protected so that no changes can be made to the contents. I would hope this would not prevent a resizing but have not checked this out. This would be the equivalent of using sheets with preprinted borders and title blocks when printing manufacturers information. Any recommendation or ideas will be welcome.
