FWIW, I've been very surprised recently with how well end users picked
up the concept of using a virtual machine. They kind of relate to it
like it was a browser or application window where you do other
applications.

I thought there would be a lot of grief and problems, so far, one month
in and it is smooth as silk (and it has really helped solve a difficult
problem).

Has kind of taught me not to underestimate the end-user (they can be a
lot dumber than you expect, and a lot smarter.)

Is it possible to run the applications in a VM running Windows XP?
Ideally, you'd like to quarantine the apps into a safe little XP box.
