Here's an article from The Atlantic.

Yeah, people might not get hurt so bad if they back up data locally. Yeah, 
email is a stupid mechanism for storing data.

Thing is, hundreds of millions of ordinary people are now RELYING on this 
technology, and the technology--and the marketing thereof and the training 
therefor--are NOT designed for, or sufficiently secure for, the average 
user. Nevertheless, the companies that sell this technology are happily 
raking in the bucks for selling a service that is not secure on its own and 
is not simple enough for the average person to use safely.

And if you ask the companies that sell this stuff about it, instead of 
accepting responsibility, they blame their customers for their ignorance. 
Is this the way we should be doing business?
