Well, grasp what you're *really* saying. That Marketing 'force' was
powered by the people who chose to buy the lies. The problem is
humanity's iniquity.

Software can't fix that. So, instead it serves it. Hence the MS's,
Oracles and Apples -- that last of which even goes so far as to invoke
an image directly related to when the whole problem began.
