Hi Michael, They have to take dollar bills - "legal tender" law. "Save-a-Lot" is a lot like M$ as in a55holes. My credit union counts my change for me with a machine for no fee nowadays. I used to roll up the coins and either the credit union or the grocery here would take them (at the office) if I was short. They would just write my name and phone # on the roll. Waiting for some of the Brits to share experience from across the pond. Must be some Brits have only coins, from the bellyaching.
