I build into the reindex program to copy a known good cdx file from a backup location, that there never is a problem.
You could also write a program that deletes the indexes and rebuilds it from scratch. I believe there is code for that floating around that takes the index tag definitions and creates a program to rebuild indexes. ----- Original Message ----- From: Sytze de Boer <[email protected]> To: profox <[email protected]> Cc: Sent: Monday, November 21, 2011 5:39 PM Subject: VFP and 1707 What do you recommend ? When my system opens it checks for a couple of CDX files If it can't find them, it automatically re-indexes all files In this instance, my error routine checks if its error 1707 and if so, "return" Occasionally, the system needs to open a table which was not auto-reindexed (and for which the CDX was "lost") When a user tries to open this table, it results in a "no table is open" error Do any of you have this type of occurrence and what do you recommend -- Regards Sytze de Boer Kiss Software --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/CAG1nNy9b9Chf3xxB7H-0p=CDjZ=auksn3rdu8udh5xhzeec...@mail.gmail.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
