There is no way to "clear up corruption" in Congress. There will always be a
level of corruption in Congress and in the White House as well. The only way
to keep the level down is to keep poking the hornets nest with
investigations, and keep booting the bums out each time they are caught. You
have to stay on top of it -- like soap scum in the shower.

The biggest problem with the recent Republican control is not the fact that
they are Republicans, but that they have been letting each other get away
with far too much because they want more to stay in power than to govern.
Their focus is in the wrong place. GOVERNING is what the function of
Congress is -- not keeping their buddies in power.

I hope the Reid situation gets a thorough investigation. If things are as
they currently appear to be, he should step down from leadership. We don't
need scum of any brand in leadership.
