Because it's polite that when someone dies that you mention the good things
they did.

EG when Nixon died they didn't go on about the CREEP stuff but focused
elsewhere to the point where you wondered whether Watergate had existed at
all...

Subject: [OT] Gary Studds,First Openly Defiant Buggerer of Underage
Congressional Pages, Dies

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20061014/D8KOI2600.html

(I had to modify the title for journalistic accuracy)

- - -
"He gave people of his generation, of my generation, of future
generations, the courage to do whatever they wanted to do," said
Hara, 49.

...

"His work on behalf of our fishing industry and the protection of our
waters has guided the fishing industry into the future and ensured
that generations to come will have the opportunity to love and learn
from the sea," Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., said in a statement. "He
was a steward of the oceans."

When it's a Democrat boning the interns or the underage male pages,
why, they're social pioneers and all-around great humanists. After
all, Studds loved the fishies too, a veritable stewardess of the
ocean, as the Right Hon. Sen. Kennedy from Massachussetts observed,
somewhat ironically, all things considered. Mary Jo learned to love
the fishies too....

The whole lot of them creep me out.

- Bob
