Just checked my program and I am passing a parameter, something like this

lnPort = 1
case lcPort = 'COM2'
lnPort = 2
case lcPort = 'COM3'
lnPort = 3
case lcPort = 'COM4'

lnRc = w8250_init(lnPortID, lnPort, lnBaud, lnDataBits, lnParity,
lnStopBits, lnRXBuffSize, lnTXBuffSize)

I want to parameterize the com9 entry in that line so that I can pass
whatever com number the FTDI USB to Rs232 DRIVER selects to use when it is
installed.
That will make things easier for our users.
Our system is a state engine that drives the logic for batching plants, such
as are used for mixing animal feeds. We do Process Control and Integrated
SCADA.
If you are in Process control or anything near. I would be very happy to
cooperate.
